Smell the Ashes and Live the Glory.

Burning. Burning was the scene of which former chancellor saw around him. The chancellor was wearing the Irken Chancellor of War clothes which was silver and gold in color but tattered. Scorched earth was everywhere and smoke filled the air with a nauseous smell that any man would've soon fainted from but Ezekiel didn't fall nor did he faint. He was used to the smell.

Moments later, a great wind gusted upon the tattered chancellor with the sounds of horses' feet running but the sound was coming from above. The sound grew louder and louder and the chancellor didn't move. A shadow covered the chancellor's shadow and later... A helicopter landed behind him.

The helicopter was sleek in design with it's silver and black exterior. A door opened from it's side to reveal another hooded man with silver and gold linen.

"We meet again," the hooded man said "Ezekiel..."

"Ah, MH0321..." Ezekiel said while not looking at the Councilor "Markell, 2nd of the 10 Councilors of Providence. How goes?"

"Forgive me, Your Excellency" Markell kneeled "I have failed as a Providencer... I did not see this earlier. The rebellion happened so fast and we underestimated them."

"No, Markell" Ezekiel turned to the once-proud councilor "I hearby... Promote you to being the 1st of the Council of Providence."

Markell was shocked and surprised. Why would wise Ezekiel put a failure to higher value?
Ezekiel then said
"I heard what they said about you. They shunned you. They would even think about demoting you. They thought you were crazy!" Markell stopped kneeling at the word crazy. Ezekiel continued "You were right. They should have payed attention more! You actually payed attention... Didn't... And now, by Yis'rael's undeniable Will, he has taken their lives for misguiding the Empire. You are the only Providencer left. Yis'rael has given us 9 again to replace the defects. And now, Markell, look at you, you are guiding an Empire through its time of need. And I trust you with my life."
